Location
The Deep is located within walking distance from the City Centre on the bank of the River Humber. A new pedestrian and cycle bridge provides a link to and from The Deep to the old town museum quarter and city centre shops.
Company Description
The Deep is a charitable public aquarium dedicated to increasing peoples enjoyment and understanding of the World’s oceans. It first opened its doors in March 2002 and so far has welcomed over 2 million visitors from the UK and abroad. Using a combination of hands on interactives, audiovisual presentations and living exhibits it tells the story of the worlds oceans. Visitors will be taken on a journey from the beginning of time through the present day oceans the icy darkness of a futuristic Deep-Sea research lab, Deep Blue one.
The Deep also has a very active education program with an average of 20,000 school visits a year passing through its three dedicated classrooms.
Behind the scenes a team of dedicated marine biologists look after all of the animals in The Deep’s collection as well as carrying out vital research into the marine environment.

The Deep business centre located by the visitor attraction is able to cater for business and conference events where clients are seeking space for smaller delegate numbers - without compromising the quality and support provided. The events team at The Deep provide a range of support services and full catering needs to suit a range of tastes. Increasingly delegates enjoy the opportunity to visit the award winning visitor attraction where sharks, rays and an abundance of other marine life glide past them on the other side of the impressive 10m tank.
The Deep by Night – Exclusive Hire
When daytime visitors have left, The Deep takes on a whole new mantle and welcomes clients seeking an exclusive venue that will entertain and enthral their delegates. With a choice of dining areas, guests can banquet high above the ocean waves in the stunning glass apex observatory or deep among the sharks in the endless oceans gallery.

Two Rivers Restaurant at The Deep, launched in May 2005, is building a reputation as one of the regions most unusual eating venues. Open every Friday and Saturday evening, diners can expect to see sharks, rays and an abundance of other marine life whilst being served a delicious contemporary Mediterranean menu.
